Dorgard is a wire-free solution, which means it doesn’t require any wiring into the building’s main fire alarm system. This minimalizes disruption during installation and speeds up the process. When Dorgard is holding a fire door open, it actively “listens” for the continuous sound of a fire alarm. To trigger a response, Dorgard needs to “hear” a fire alarm that exceeds 65 decibels for a duration of at least 14 seconds. Notably, if the ambient noise level in your premises surpasses 80 decibels, Dorgard will release the fire door.
